Coping With Crying
When my son cries and I don't know what he's crying about, I start climbing the walls and keep trying to figure out the reason why. While he continues to cry I just remember that Jacob is my baby. He didn't ask to be born. He is here because I wanted him. So I take very good care of him and try my best to be the perfect mom I can be. I get really upset sometimes when he cries and cries, but I don't show it to my boyfriend because I don't want him to worry about my problems. Everybody gets those sometimes, because your still going through the process and being the greatest mother you can be to your child. I'm glad I'm handling these problems well, especially because I have my family to help me out when I need them the most.

Hi Karen, Bruce Dearborn here. I read your blog entry about crying and I have an idea. Jacob will understand your words more and more. He will not be able to speak for about a year because his voice box takes that long to develop, but he KNOWS WHAT HE NEEDS way before that. You can add simple signing gestures to your words that he will be able to use with you. My granddaughter began signing at 4 months and she stopped crying almost immediately because her parents understood what she needed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr. Dearborn for the advice means a lot maybe i'll try that out and see how that goes, i know it will work because if your granddaughter can, my son can too.
